FIRM NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19
As the rapid spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues in our community, I want to update you on the steps my office has taken to ensure business continuity for our existing and prospective clients.  Although the office itself is closed, I remain committed to helping you.

I have implemented protocols that enables the office to work remotely. Initial consultations can still be scheduled and the technology that is put in place will ensure that client services will be uninterrupted, and your legal matters will not be impacted. All meetings which do not need to be in person are being scheduled by Zoom, phone, Skype, GoToMeeting, Facetime, or whatever application is best for clients.  The office has complete electronic access to your files and your telephone calls to the office will be rerouted to Stacy Talbott’s mobile phone.

We are closely monitoring this ever-evolving situation and following the directives of our state and local governments as well as those of our Courts’. At the present time, except for limited circumstances, such as emergencies, the Montgomery County Maryland Courts are closed and are scheduled to reopen on June 8, 2020.  However, if you have an uncontested divorce scheduled before June 8, 2020, it will be held remotely. All other cases and matters will be rescheduled.

The highest priority at the Law Office of Stacy B. Talbott, LLC is the well-being of our team, clients’ and community. We continue to implement measures to reduce the risk of workplace transmission of the virus to ensure the health and safety of our entire community while remaining focused on the needs of our current and future clients.

  • Stacy: I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done. It has been such a stressful and emotional time for me but you made it simple and as pain free as possible. I can’t even express to you how much it means to me. All of the time and money, there are not works that can tell you how thankful I am. You are such a kind, compassionate, generous person. I do believe in good karma and that no good deed goes unnoticed! Thanks

  • My ex-husband (bipolar I + severe alcoholic) left Maryland for 2 years and abruptly returned, demanding to resume visitation with my son. To protect my son, I sought a child custody attorney and was referred to Stacy Talbott. She did a fantastic job of opposing my ex-husband’s outlandish case, while also controlling costs. My ex-husband’s attorneys dropped their fallacious suit against me and we settled out of court, with virtually all of my originally desired protective provisions in place.

  • Thanks to Mrs. Talbott and Mrs. Michelle, they helped me during one of the most difficult times in my life. I’m happy that God chose the right lawyer for me as I had absolutely no idea how to find one by myself. Despite the fact that the separation/divorce was painful, interacting with the two of them helped me stay positive. I recommend Mrs. Talbott for anyone that I care for.
